Nine Years in the Making

Stephanie & Jax reached out around five months before their elopement. They have been together for nine years, engaged for four of those, and they decided the only thing they needed was each other. Honestly, iconic. Their Las Vegas elopement is proof that you don’t need a ballroom or a hundred RSVPs to make a wedding day feel like yours. You just need your person and a city that’s awake whenever you need it.

They opted to toss out the traditional celebration and guest list. just the two of them. No seating charts, no speeches, no second-guessing anyone else’s opinion of the day. Just Las Vegas and their ever lasting love.

From Rhode Island To A Little White Chapel

There’s something perfectly Vegas about a pink Cadillac. Stephanie & Jax traveled more than 2,500 miles away from Rhode Island and booked their ceremony at A Little White Chapel. It’s one of the most iconic wedding chapels in the city and a fixture of Vegas wedding culture since the 1950s. Bad Bunny filmed his music video there for SI ESTUVIÉSEMOS JUNTOS; it’s honestly a classic. They said their vows at their drive-up window and then climbed into a pink Cadillac, the chapel’s signature drive-up wedding car, for photos and content.

Carrying Their Roots With Them

One of our favorite personal touches of the day was a flag the couple brought representing their Puerto Rican and Colombian heritage. They displayed it on the pink Cadillac during their photos. Even three thousand miles from home, on a day that was just about the two of them, they made sure where they came from was part of the picture.

RD After Party

After the ceremony, Stephanie and Jax made their way through a mini tour of Vegas icons. First stop was the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, the most photographed sign in the city and a near-mandatory stop for anyone who elopes here. Then they headed downtown to Fremont Street, with its canopy of lights and old-school casino energy, for a completely different backdrop than the polished Strip. It’s a route many of our elopements follow, and for good reason. Each stop has its own personality, so the photos from one day end up looking like three different trips.

Stephanie, who works as a professional makeup artist (@the_esty_mua on Instagram) always wanted to do her own glam for her wedding day. And she made sure the look lasted through the heat, the golden hour photos at the sign, and the neon glow of Fremont Street.
