Let’s be real, you didn’t choose Vegas to have a forgettable wedding. You came for the lights, the unmistakable buzz, and something a little less formal. A Las Vegas elopement works best when you lean into the city instead of trying to tone it down. Here’s how to plan a Vegas elopement that actually feels like you.

1. Find a Chapel That Feels Like You

Vegas chapels all have their own personality, from the neon drive-thru charm of the Little White Wedding Chapel to the vintage, kitschy intimacy of Sure Thing Chapel downtown on Fremont, and picking the right one is half the battle. But if bringing your own photographer matters to you, be sure to do some research. Some Vegas chapels let outside photographers in for free, some charge a fee, and a few won’t let your photographer through the door at all. 2. Decide How Long You Want to Spend In Front of The Camera

One of the first things to figure out when you’re planning your elopement is how much time you want to spend in front of the camera. We can end up doing quite a bit of walking, so if you’re booking more than 2 hours, we’ll map out locations together that actually fit your vibe. The sweet spot is around 4 hours, and there’s a reason it’s one of our most booked experiences. Think hotel portraits, your chapel moment, and an after party around Vegas. This experience also comes with a 1-minute highlight video, 1 custom reel, and 10 polaroids. If you want your gallery to feel intentional and full, 3 or 4 hours is usually the move.

3. Find Locations That Fit Your Vibe

Go through your Pinterest board and ask yourself: what actually makes you stop scrolling on a photo? Usually it’s the same three things. A couple dressed like they’re walking a red carpet. Posing that doesn’t feel stiffed, and of course, a backdrop with presence. Whether it’s a moody, editorial speakeasy, the welcome to Vegas sign, Fremont street, or somewhere else that has been living on your Pinterest board, we will work with you to find locations that truly fit your vibe.

4. Don’t Skip Out On The Nice Hotel

A nice hotel will really make your stay feel luxurious. Something with a nice view. You can never go wrong with The Venetian or The Cosmopolitan. Do a champagne pour, get a heart-shaped cake, or maybe a little room service before you get dressed. It sets the tone for the whole day.

5. Ditch Rideshare For a Classic Car or Limo

Skip the rideshare app for at least part of the day. A hired car, whether it’s a classic convertible, a limo, or even a party bus if you want to really commit to the bit, turns transportation into part of the celebration instead of a logistics chore. It also means you’re not fumbling with a phone and a bouquet at the same time, and you get a few extra minutes to just sit together and let the day sink in.

Book this early. The good cars get snapped up fast on weekends, especially around holidays.

6. Dress In Red Carpet Worthy Attire

Wear something that actually feels like you. A bold color, a bit of lace, a dress with movement. Invest in the details that make photos pop: custom cufflinks, a dramatic veil, a jacket with texture. This is the one day you get to be dramatic on purpose. If you’re walking around for photos after your ceremony, bring a pair of sneakers or comfy flats to swap into.

7. Splurge On Fun Stuff

One of the best parts of skipping the traditional wedding? The savings. A Vegas elopement costs a fraction of what a traditional wedding does. That difference means you get to splurge where it actually counts. Maybe that’s on your attire, custom cufflinks, or newspapers. Maybe it’s the heart-shaped cake or pair of red bottoms you’ve been eyeing, or that designer Aston Bridal dress. Either way, eloping gives you the freedom to spend on what matters to you, instead of what’s expected.

8. Don’t Forget the Florals

A bouquet not only completes your look, it adds color, texture, and movement to every shot. Lean into deep cascading reds and burgundy tones with cascading greenery or dried accents for that editorial, slightly moody feel. It’s a small detail, but we promise, it makes such a big difference in your photos and content!

9. Add Props

Props add character and variety to your photos. You’ve probably heard people say if you want cute, candid pics, you need to be doing cute, candid shit, and that couldn’t be more true. When we work with our couples, we always bring things like poker chips, playing cards, sunglasses, and prop fans to give you something to interact with and have some fun.

10. Do Something Fun

Weddings are exhausting, even the fast ones, so be sure to build in time to do something genuinely fun. Hit a record store, get a tattoo, visit the Vegas sign, grab a slice of pizza or a scoop of ice cream. Vegas also has a real hidden-bar scene with spots tucked behind bookshelves, phone booths, or unmarked doors. Spending part of your wedding night somewhere intimate instead of loud and touristy is a nice contrast.
