The Fremont Street Experience is one of our most requested pit stops we take couples who want their photos and content to feel unmistakably Vegas. The Neon signs, old-school casinos, vintage architecture, and street performers add so much personality, all packed into a few walkable blocks. If your idea of a Vegas elopement involves more than smiling in front of a chapel, Fremont is the perfect place to include.
We’ve photographed plenty of couples down here, and these are the spots we’d actually add to your photo route.
Pro Tip: If you’re bringing a group, Fremont is an great place to meet back up after your shoot. There’s plenty to do, and everything is walkable.

The Viva Vision Canopy is inevitable if you come down to Fremont Street (and for good reason). It’s a massive LED canopy that runs overhead along the whole pedestrian stretch of the Fremont Street Experience. Be sure to wait until these lights come on; that’s when the entire street transforms.
Our tip: Don’t rush here just because it’s the most recognizable spot. The canopy is at its best once the sun goes down and the lights are fully glowing.

The Plaza is one of our favorite Fremont-area stops because it gives you a completely different look from the canopy. The old-school architecture, giant lettering, red accents, and surrounding streets create a very classic Vegas feel. It’s also directly across from Carousel Bar and the main Fremont Street canopy you read about earlier.
Fun Fact: Love Is Fucking Magical (another Vegas based elopement photographer) is opening a new wedding chapel, Love Shack Chapel. It’s expected to open around November 2027, so keep an eye on it if you’re planning a Fremont elopement and want a 70’s inspired chapel.

Feeling snackish after your elopement and want to check out at an iconic Vegas staple? Stop at Evel Pie. It’s right in the heart of all of the fun mentioned in this post, including the iconic Vegas sign that’s literally right out front.

Carousel Bar is one of our favorite Fremont stops when couples want something a little more polished. If it has been living rent-free in your Pinterest board (we get it, that retro neon glow is unmatched), we suggest including it as one of your stops. The bar’s colorful interior, carousel-inspired details, and low-light atmosphere create a completely different look from the bright outdoor streets.
As of September 2026, they’ve started charging for 30-minute session blocks, and that doesn’t include a photographer. Rules and pricing is subject to change, so check the current details before you build it into your route. You can read more in our blog post here. Don’t want to pay the fee? No stress. We can get just as iconic photos outside the bar. You’d only be skipping the shots inside the booth with drinks in hand.

Not the Vegas sign you’re picturing, but it’s a must stop if you’re on Fremont Street. It’s right outside Evel Pie, in the middle of all the Fremont chaos.
Pro Tip: Come at blue hour, when the sky still has a little color and the neon is already glowing, like the middle shot above. Be sure to work with your media team to time it perfectly

Craving old-school Vegas? Don’t sleep on El Cortez. There’s a lot of variety in this hotel & casino. Vintage signage, moody interiors, and plenty of slots to choose from. Most Fremont casinos are pretty relaxed about photos, but El Cortez is one of the easier spots to shoot inside without running into an issue with security.

Fremont East has a more local, eclectic feel with murals, bars, restaurants, signs, and pockets of neon. It’s a great option if you want to get away from the busiest part of Fremont Street for a few minutes and create photos that feel a little less expected.

Fremont Street is easy to underestimate because the locations look close together on a map. Once you’re actually there, you’re dealing with crowds, pedestrians, traffic, stopping for photos, and constantly finding little moments along the way. If you only have an hour, we’d choose 2–3 main stops and leave room to wander. And if you’re booking more time, we can build Fremont into a larger Vegas adventure with your hotel, ceremony location, dinner, or another part of the city.
We always recommend waiting until after sunset. The atmosphere completely changes once the signs and canopy are lit up. That said, arriving slightly before sunset can give you the best of both worlds: some natural light first, followed by the full neon experience once it gets dark. And if you’re trying to avoid the biggest crowds, a weekday or earlier evening will generally give you more breathing room than a packed weekend night.
Expect crowds. Fremont Street is an active entertainment district, not a private photo location. Expect crowds, live music on certain days.
Wear comfortable shoes. You’re going to be walking a ton.
Give yourself enough time. If you want multiple locations, 30 minutes can disappear surprisingly fast.
Check current rules. Photography policies, fees, and access can change, especially for individual businesses and bars.
If you want your photos to feel unmistakably like Las Vegas, you should absolutely consider adding this to your stop. Fremont gives you an energy the Strip doesn’t. You can walk underneath a massive neon canopy, grab a slice of pizza, stop for a cocktail, and end the night wandering through the lights.
